- Integrates the ventilation system into the cooking surface so that a separate hood is not needed. Smoke and odors can be removed and taken outside or filtered and recirculated inside. A duct-free kit is available for purchase separately.
- Enhance the look of the cooktop surface with sturdy construction that adds to their premium feel.
- Enhance the beautiful look of the cooktop and allow easy movement of cookware around the entire cooking surface.
- Allows you to convert the cooktop so it can be used with LP gas.
- Provides the ability to use high-temperature cooking methods such as searing, stir-frying, and wok cooking as well as low temperatures suitable for simmering.
- A diffuser plate allows more control of the flame at the lowest setting, for more precise simmering and melting.
- Handles the venting requirements of high temperature cooking techniques like pan searing and stir-frying.
- Can be precisely matched to cooking needs, effectively removing steam, grease, and odors from the air.
- Reaches the high temperatures required to quickly get liquids to a boil and for high-temperature cooking techniques including getting a great sear on meat.
- Allows a downdraft cooktop to be placed nearly anywhere in the kitchen using a duct-free conversion kit (not included). This filters and recirculates the air without running ductwork, ideal for kitchens with installation restrictions or ducting limitations.
- Melt chocolate or butter, simmer delicate sauces, or poach eggs on a low-power burner, thanks to a wider burner cap that shields and diffuses the flame to produce a gentler, low-power heat.
- Lights burners with an electric spark instead of a pilot light. For more reliable performance, burners are relit if the flame is blown out.

Delivery
Preparing for Delivery
Thank you for making your purchase at Hometown Brand Center. We want to make your delivery a positive experience. Please utilize this communication to assist you in understanding our standard delivery & hookup procedures. If you have any questions, please call us & speak to your salesperson.
*TO ASSURE A PLEASANT DELIVERY, PLEASE REVIEW THIS CHECK LIST:
*Did you provide us with the necessary phone numbers?
*Please evaluate the dimensions of the space of your new purchase and removal of your old unit. Check the width & height of your doorways & pathways.
*Walk the path of the delivery and remove any items that may be an obstacle, such as paintings, pets, furniture, antiques, etc. *During the winter season, remove all snow and ice from their path.
*Did you provide us with special directions if required?
*Do you want us to remove your old appliance?
*Products CANNOT be delivered without payment in full or financing arrangements completed.
*Possible additional charges! Please inquire regarding any additional charges for professional installation and / or assistance that are not part of the standard delivery procedure. Disassembly charges may apply. Outlet installation charges may apply.
*Please take appropriate action to protect your home and flooring in case of inclement weather such as rain or snow OR refrigerator removal (water in condenser pan).
*The delivery team is not permitted to roll over or install tile or linoleum that has not been set for at least two weeks.
*Remember, installation of dishwashers, air conditioners or built-in products require an installation technician & installation fee.
WASHERS- These units will be connected to an existing water supply and existing drain using the new hoses provided by the manufacturer, or new hoses if you have purchased them prior to the time of installation. Old hoses should not be reused. Make sure shutoffs are corrosion and leak free. Washers will be leveled; shipping bolts removed, and the unit will be tested for proper operation. Normal drain height is approximately four, (4) foot and requires a 2-inch diameter standpipe. A drain or inlet hose extension may be needed (additional charges apply). A high household drain may hinder washer operation. A clamped or sealed drain to hose connection is not recommended. A stable floor is also required for proper balance. We take no responsibility for leaks that develop in household plumbing prior to or after shutting off or turning on the water supply.
ELECTRIC DRYERS- These units will be connected to existing approved outlet located directly behind dryer (providing that a new electrical cord is purchased), leveled and checked for proper operation. The normal delivery team is not permitted to perform direct electrical hook ups. We can install an outlet for a $34.95 to $39.95 fee. Existing APPROVED clean dryer vent hose will be connected but NOT FURNISHED. Venting and electrical supplies are available for additional charges. All dryers vent from the rear, see your salesperson for alternative venting options. Dryer doors swing with the hinges on the right side. Please contact your salesperson to see if the door may be reversed and at what cost.
GAS DRYERS & RANGES- These units will be set in place and leveled. PLEASE SEE YOUR SALESPERSON FOR FURTHER DETAILS REGARDING OUR INSTALLATION PROCEDURES. *GAS NOTE. Gas hookup can be provided at a nominal charge. Due to code and liability a working dedicated shutoff must be located within 6 feet of the appliance. Please contact your plumber if a dedicated shutoff is not present. Please ask your salesperson. See dryer vent and door swing notes above.
ELECTRIC RANGES- Please do not use the old oven on the day of delivery. These units will be connected to an existing approved outlet located directly behind range (providing that a new electrical cord is purchased), leveled and checked for proper operation. The normal delivery team is not permitted to perform direct electrical hook ups. We can install an outlet for a $34.95 to $39.95 fee.
DISHWASHERS & MICROWAVES-These units will be delivered and left near your installation site. The normal delivery team is not permitted to install your new dishwasher/microwave or disconnect your old unit. However, we do have qualified professional installers who can assist you with your installation. Please inquire regarding the additional charges for professional installation.
REFRIGERATORS- These units will be delivered and put in place. Refrigerators with ice or water require a household water supply to the unit. Supply line is not included. If your refrigerator has a water supply connected, please make sure it corrosion and leak free , locate the valve & shut it off. We recommend that you have a new waterline of copper or PEX installed. We take no responsibility for hooking up to poly lines due to the potential for leaks. Ask your salesperson for details. Some refrigerators have a reversible door swing. Make door reversal arrangements with salesperson prior to delivery (reversal fee applies). Remove food from old refrigerator prior to arrival. Manufacturers recommend a 24-hour cooldown period before stocking it with food. It will be your responsibility if food is placed prior to making sure proper temperatures have been reached. Refrigerator size affects many facets of the delivery process. Measure all pathways, doorways, stairways & walkways before the delivery. Cabinet opening is important. Measure width (high & low in both front & back of cabinet). Measure height (left & right Both front & back of cabinet). (8 measurements) There must be clearance in front of the cabinet by at least full width & depth of refrigerator. It must roll straight back not on angle. Most refrigerators only adjust height in front of unit. Many units come from the factory with slight pitch from front to back. The delivery team is not responsible for uneven floors.
YOUR OLD APPLIANCES- Our delivery team, at the time of delivery, will move your old appliance on a one-to-one basis outside your home, or haul away the old appliance (refrigerant fee may apply). (Provided you have previously disconnected, and made any necessary house or other alteration that may be required before our arrival). If we are required to make a return trip to remove old units’ additional charges may apply.
Disconnection includes: Unplugging units (direct electrical connections mainly ranges & dryers are excluded and are part of optional outlet installation), unhook water, drain lines, dryer vents, etc. Removal of such items such as food, clothing, or water is your responsibility. The delivery team will not deliver your new, nor remove your old appliance to an address that is different from the original delivery address, without prior arrangements. Additional service fees or charges may apply.
Delivery Teams cannot make house alterations nor wait for customers to make house alterations. The delivery team will be as careful as possible when moving your appliance, but when the situation warrants, a damage waiver may be required. Please provide adequate protection for your carpets or floors during the removal of your old unit. Please inquire regarding any additional charges for added service needs.
Delivery Times- Because of the numerous variables such as weather, traffic, and complex deliveries, it is not possible to give you the exact time of your delivery. However, we will attempt to call prior to your delivery. If it is not possible for you to accept delivery in the time frame established, your delivery can be rescheduled for a more convenient delivery date and time.
